Our Acacia Cutting Board is made from natural acacia wood, seamlessly assembled and FDA certified for food contact, this 35 × 25 × 2.6 cm board combines end-grain construction, a solid 1.35 kg weight and four anti-slip feet for a stable, durable cutting surface that is gentle on sharp blades. Large enough for most jobs in the kitchen, yet compact enough to store away easily.

Why end grain?

End grain means the wood fibres face upwards rather than running horizontally across the cutting surface. When you cut, the knife edge moves between the upright wood fibres rather than repeatedly cutting across them. The fibres have a little natural give, helping reduce deep scoring where food residue and moisture can collect, while also being gentler on the blade.

Why acacia?

Acacia hits the sweet spot: naturally durable and moisture-resistant, yet gentle on a good knife. Softer woods such as pine or birch can develop deeper cuts that trap food and moisture and become harder to clean. Harder materials such as bamboo can be tough on a sharp blade, while trendy metal boards may be highly hygienic but are brutal on a knife’s edge.
